How is the Base gas price worked out?
Wardcrest reads the last 20 blocks of fee history: standard is the next block’s base fee plus the median tip paid recently; slow uses a smaller tip; fast allows for the base fee rising by its 12.5% maximum.
How often does this update?
Every minute. The page refreshes itself every 30 seconds while you have it open.
Why might my wallet quote a different fee?
