How many satoshis are in a bitcoin?

Exactly 100,000,000. A satoshi (sat) is the smallest unit Bitcoin records on-chain; Lightning can go down to thousandths of a sat (millisatoshis).

What are bits and mBTC?

A bit is a microbitcoin: 100 sats, or a millionth of a bitcoin. An mBTC is a millibitcoin: 100,000 sats. Most wallets now simply show BTC or sats.

Where does the price come from?

The Bitcoin price is the market price from our data provider, refreshed every few minutes; other currencies use European Central Bank reference rates where published. Exchanges quote slightly different prices, and spreads and fees apply when you actually buy or sell.
